The Business is the variable component of The Way. As such, this triad describes the generic key elements of any business vision.
At the core of the Business are the Products and Services we provide, which are solutions to customers’ needs and wants. The Products and Services core is surrounded and actualized by Our Resources, Our Capital Generation, and Our Sales and Marketing.

Products & Services
The core of Our Products and Services is The Concept. Every movement forward begins with an idea. In this case, The Concept includes a complete description of the opportunity: the what, who, when, and where of providing Our Products and Services in the now.
The “why” of Our Products and Services is answered by The Value Proposition. This is a statement of the unique benefit or customer need being satisfied. The “why” is also addressed by Competitive Advantage, which explains how Our Products and Services meet the customers’ needs better than the alternatives currently available in the market.
At the apex of this triad is the Future Iterations of Our Products and Services. This element speaks to our understanding of how Our Products and Services will change over time to stay ahead of evolving customer needs.

Our Resources
At the core of Our Resources is The Team. This is a group of 13 individuals organized into three interlocking triads of four people with an overall leader. This structure is described further in The System section.
The Team is reinforced, on the one hand, by Partnerships (or relationships) with other individuals or organizations outside the company that supply key inputs to the Business. On the other hand, The Team is supported by Technologies— which may be communication, information, automation, or any other types of technologies used to enhance the team’s or the overall business’ effectiveness.
On the point of this triad, leading the way, is our Intellectual Assets. This element speaks to the knowledgebase that evolves when The Team, Partnerships, and Technologies are working in sync with one another to meet existing and future customer needs.

Our Capital Generation
At the core of Our Capital Generation is Self Funding. We believe in the value of building sustainability by not relying on any one source of financing, but rather pursuing multiple modes of self funding. In other words, self-reliance is the guiding principle when it comes to wealth creation.
Self Funding is propelled forward by Revenue Generation, which translates into strong cash flow from sales of products and services. It is also augmented by select Investment to generate income from capital gains—making money work for the business instead of the business merely working for money.
At the tip of this triad, pointing forward, is the Pro Forma. This is a description of the projected effects of our various business initiatives stated in terms of metrics such as return on investment (ROI), payback period, and earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT). The Pro Forma also includes projections of other types of capital besides financial that the business intends to develop, such as human, intellectual and social capital.

The other “engine” for this triad is The Sales Parables, which are stories that illustrate the reasons, benefits and uses of Our Products and Services in a way that emotionally engages the customer.
At the apex of this triad is Recurring Revenue. It is our belief that in order to build a sustainable business, we must create loyal customers who continue to buy from us, as well as recommend us to others.
